WHO WE ARE: The West Australian Association of Teacher Assistants (hereafter referred to as education assistants) is a professional non-profit organisation run solely by volunteer education assistants.
OUR OBJECTIVES: To enhance the professional expertise and status of our dedicated members who are also continually striving to ensure that ALL students can access the curriculum including those with diverse learning needs.
To create a network of education assistants which will foster educational thought and practice and set before itself and the community the ethics of high professional responsibility and peer support
NETWORKING: There are many advantages of becoming a member of such an enthusiastic and supportive network of like-minded colleagues from all over our great state. Our Executive committee also organise and conduct regular committee meetings and convene an annual conference for the advancement of professional development for education assistants.
